Interlibrary Loan is a system for borrowing books and articles from other libraries throughout the world. When you order a book it will generally arrive within several days to a few weeks, depending on where the lending library is located. When you order an article, it will usually arrive as a PDF and is yours to keep.

Your ILL account is tied directly to your WorldCat account, and should be active for all current students, faculty, and staff of the College. Unfortunately, we cannot extend this service to other patrons. To manage you ILL account:

  • Go to your ILL Account page
  • Enter you WorldCat My Christendom Account credentials, if not already logged in (see WorldCat info box on this page)

On your account page, you can change your password and update your Communication Preferences. To receive email or text notices about your requests, enter your email/cell phone information and then select your preferences for receiving the communications.

Once your ILL account is set up, you can use it to easily order items that the library does not own by pressing the Request via ILL button when it appears in WorldCatEBSCOhostProject MuseJSTOR and other online databases. You may also log into ILL to order items directly using citation information found in books, articles, on the web or elsewhere.
